What does Yelp Guaranteed cover? 

Yelp Guaranteed provides coverage up to a lifetime max of $2,500 if you hire a Yelp Guaranteed business through Request a Quote, Request a Consultation, or Request a Virtual Consultation. Coverage includes unsatisfactory project work, property damage related to the project, pre-paid projects when the hired professional does not show up, and fees charged outside the scope of your written quote. 

How do I qualify for coverage? 

First, try to resolve any issues with the hired business. If you are unable to resolve your concerns directly with the business, submit a Refund Request Form. You must submit a refund request within 30 days after the date of the last payment to the business for the project. Based on our evaluation, we may reimburse you up to the lesser of: (a) the amount you paid the business for the project, or (b) $2,500, subject to the Yelp Guaranteed Consumer Terms.

Are all businesses covered by Yelp Guaranteed?

Yelp Guaranteed is currently available for eligible businesses in select service categories that have Request a Quote enabled and are using Yelp Ads. Yelp dynamically looks at a variety of qualification factors to determine if a business is eligible for Yelp Guaranteed, which can change from time to time based on eligibility requirements and new information.

What types of local services are covered by Yelp Guaranteed?

Yelp Guaranteed currently covers projects when users employ the Request a Quote, Request a Consultation, or Request a Virtual Consultation feature to contact eligible businesses in one of the following categories: Contractors, Electricians, Flooring, Handyman, Home cleaning, Heating/Ventilation/Air-Conditioning, Landscapers, Locksmiths, Movers, Painters, Pest Control, Plumbers, Roofers, and Tree Services.

What geographic areas are covered by Yelp Guaranteed?

Yelp Guaranteed is currently available for eligible businesses across the U.S. only.

How do I know the business I hired is Yelp Guaranteed?

Businesses that are covered by Yelp Guaranteed will be highlighted with a “Backed by Yelp Guaranteed” badge on their business information page and also in messages that are received through the Request a Quote, Request a Consultation, or Request a Virtual Consultation feature.

Do I have to contact and hire the business through Yelp?

In order to be protected by Yelp Guaranteed, users are required to contact the business through the Request a Quote, Request a Consultation, or Request a Virtual Consultation feature on Yelp before hiring the business.
